Care First Limited is an independent specialist training provider that develops adults with moderate to severe learning difficulties/disabilities and extra assistance needs. They have a team of specialist staff, here at Cerebral Palsy Midlands who are dedicated to helping all its learners to achieve their ambitions and potential, at a pace they are comfortable with, in a friendly, supportive and fun environment.
Care First Ltd sessions take place twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays in our Media Room, two full days of interactive teaching.
Gaining Qualifications
All our students who participate on the Care First Ltd course have worked towards gaining City & Guilds ‘award’ qualifications in a variety of topics covered including:
• Communication Skills
• Basic Mathematics
• Health & Safety Awareness
• Work Ready Skills
• Community Development
• Personal and Social Development skills
Boosting confidence and gaining new skills
These learning opportunities enhance existing skills, develop new ones and create positive uplifting self-belief which helps to improve in-dependency skills and improve their confidence and overall well-being, helping our people to grow.

In January 2018, Heidi Benton, Head of Learning & Development for Care First Ltd awarded our CPM students with their City & Guild qualifications accredited by Birmingham Metropolitan College. Our students were awarded Entry Level Certificate in Skills for Working Life (Entry Level 2), Completing a Work Skills Preparation Course and English Skills Course. We are very proud of our students and their achievements with all the hard work and time they have put in.
