"The Rock Project" have started their weekly sessions at our 'Cerebral Palsy Midlands', Harborne centre, weekly on Wednesdays from 4.45pm to 6.45pm for children aged 7 to 18. We are thrilled to be supporting this organisation at CPM in helping young people in the community grow and develop their musical talents.

Do you remember young Nandi Bushell? She was the drummer in the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' John Lewis advert and recently she went on tour with the Legendary Rock Band, the "Foo fighters"! Well, Nandi was a member of the Ipswich Rock Project - so, just think, you could be the next big Rock Star just like her!

"The Rock Project" is the UK & Ireland's premier school for children's contemporary music tuition. They offer group lessons in electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals and the opportunity for young people aged 7-18 years old to put their musical skills into practice by performing regularly each week as part of a band.

The first session took place, last week on Wednesday 7th December and Pete who runs the sessions here said: "The first session was absolutely fantastic, we were very happy and so were all the parents too!"

These sessions have to be booked in advance and "The Rock Project" are offering a two hour free trial session for anyone wanting to give it a try.

For anyone who enjoys working with children and enjoys music without necessarily being a gifted musician, there are also opportunities to get involved with the project here.
