Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month

March is CP Awareness month, which is dedicated to the 17 million people diagnosed with cerebral palsy around the world. This gives us here at Cerebral Palsy Midlands, an opportunity to raise awareness about the disability, cerebral palsy.

Throughout the month of March we have been making lots of videos. Here are some of the short awareness videos that we have been making on the right, go check them out!

The key points when talking about the disability cerebral palsy are that:
Many children get cerebral palsy durng the stages of birth and can be caused due to the lack of oxygen in the brain.
Its a physical disability.
Its a life long condition, there is no cure.
There are different types of cerebral palsy.
Cerebral Palsy is not just a children's disability.
75% of people who have a disability have more than one disability.
This is the case for many of the citizens we provide a service for at Cerebral Palsy Midlands.
Not everyone who has cerebral pasy is in a wheelchair.
