Coronovirus Service Update from Cerebral Palsy Midlands
Cerebral Palsy Midlands continue to be committed to supporting our citizens, families, carers and our local community with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in the most suitable and available ways to us.
Our centre has been closed until Government Guidelines allow us to re-open, we continue to be guided by Public Health and our Local Authority. Furthermore, all of our Pathfinders Social Clubs, centre events and fundraising events have been cancelled until further notice.
Still supporting our community
We are still able to respond to messages left on our main telephone line 0121 427 3182 and via info@cpmids.org.uk.
Our staff have been making regular telephone calls/texts/emails to all of our citizens during this period to check on their health and wellbeing
For those citizens with access to the internet we have been running weekday social chats at 1pm daily.
We have also been running a programme of online activities via our Cerebral Palsy Midlands Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/CerebralPalsyMidlands/ and through Zoom Sessions. These have included live performances, wheelchair dance, seated tai chi sessions, art and cookery videos, quizzes, storytelling and more.
Below is our YouTube video that shows what we have been doing to support our CPM community during this period of Lockdown https://youtu.be/Vpn3mkXwklA.
We wish you all well, keep safe and we sincerely hope that we will soon be able to open our doors again in the not too distant future.
We will keep our website and Facebook Page up to date for any further changes or as to when our services will re-open.
Please contact Development Officer Sarah Lilly via email sarah@cpmids.org.uk for any queries, I will be picking up emails during our centre closure.
Please pass on and forward this message to any relevant sources.
