Working with The Challenge
Posted on 10th July 2017 at 15:07

For many years Cerebral Palsy Midlands hads worked with National Citizen Service and The Challenge Birmingham to give young people experiences working in the charity sector and working with young adults with disability.
This summer we are set to take in another 80 to 100 young people aged between 15 and 17 into our centre, to help them develop their skills for work, life and transition into adulthood.
Groups come supporting different talents from drama, music, art, film, sports and media. Todays 'Enterprise' group came with a cake decorating activity that would create an opportunity to work with and communicate with our clients. We believe that these opportunities to come into our centre really do help young people develop their confidence, develop their social interaction and understanding and hopefully give them an opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills for the future.
