Cerebral Palsy Midlands are thrilled to share... We have another Baton Bearer!
Our very own CPM'er and CPM citizen Amy Swift, has been selected as a Baton bearer for the Birmingham 2022 Queen's Baton Relay in the West Midlands on Monday 25th July 2022 ahead of the Commonwealth games.
Amy's segment will start at 5.15pm from Galton Bridge, Roebuck Lane, Smethwick B66 1BS where Amy will be handed to carry the Queen's Baton on a barge.
Along with thousands of other inspiring Baton bearers, Amy will take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity and carry the Baton as it continues its epic journey around England.
Amy was nominated from her place of Respite, Abberley House in Birmingham as they were so proud of her achievement and thought she thoroughly deserved it.
Amy said; “She is looking forward to it and she feels so excited.”
Next week, on Monday, Amy will be proudly taking part in the baton relay race. CPM, her friends and family, will be supporting her on the day! We are so proud of Amy and can't wait to support her.
