CPM's Royal Banquet Community Fete, BBQ & Fundraiser Wednesday 10th May between 10am and 3pm
You are invited to join us at Cerebral Palsy Midlands on Wednesday 10th May for our CPM’s Royal Banquet & Community Fete between 10am and 3pm celebrating King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation. The celebration gives our Harborne Centre a chance for adults in our services, their parents, care givers and the wider community to come in and see all the great work that we do. The event itself provides everyone with an inclusive and accessible way to celebrate together. There will be plenty going on throughout our centre; a BBQ, Cream Teas, live music, games and stalls to name a few. We would love to see you there.
Lots of fun for all the community
Our ‘Friends of CPM’ volunteers are hosting Cream teas, cakes, and a tuck shop.
Fancy dress (Red, White, and Blue or Royal) will be more than welcome.
10.45am CPM's Being Heard Music Group will perform a sing-along in honour of the King and Queen’s Coronation
From 12.00pm Live Music will be in our accessible garden area from ‘The Sandy Band’ and ‘The Rock Project’
Royal themed games ‘Pin the Crown on the King’ as well as our Raffle and Tombola.
We will have a BBQ with burgers and hotdogs available.
‘Healthwatch Birmingham’ will be manning a stall to talk about their work in the local community.
Virtual Reality Gaming Headgear available for you to experience.
CPM’s therapist Rebecca Morroll will be offering mini hand and head massage treatments.
Chrissie Henson will be here to talk about her recently published my book "A look inside the therapy room".
Chrissie says "It tells my story of living with CP and the challenges and discrimination I've overcome to become a person-centred therapist; I provide a relaxed insight into what happens in the sessions and share experiences and outcomes of some of my clients, many of whom live with disabilities. There are pause for thought pages throughout the book which encourage the readers to reflect on their feelings, and information on courses to improve your mental health. I hope to inspire others to see we can reach our dreams and would be interested to hear of any groups who would like me to go along and talk about my book, and reach out to others with CP."
