Paul Watson ran theBirmingham International Marathon Great Run for CPM raising £376!
One of our great supporters Paul Watson, ran Birmingham's Marathon on Sunday 15th October to help fundraise for Cerebral Palsy Midlands.
Paul said 'The Day went really well. It started at the Alexandra Stadium at 9.30am in the morning and then headed on to the A34 into Birmingham going through Digbeth Cannon hill park around Edgbaston cricket ground and up the Pershore Road and back and then do the same loop all again.
It was quite a hilly course, I managed to get to the 13 mile mark at 2 Hours and hoping to keep up the pace for the second half but at around mile 19 I was definitely slowing down and with a few hills to go I was feeling tired but carried on and never resorted to any walking.
The support along the way was really good even some of the streets I passed through were giving out water and sweets which all added to a great atmosphere."
We at Cerebral Palsy Midlands are really grateful for all of the support that we received from Paul and it's fantastic news that he has raised £376 towards Cerebral Palsy Midlands!
His online giving page is still open and there is still tome left to donate if you would like to support Paul.
