All of the family can take part in our event, it really is a suitable, inclusive and accessible event for everyone. Whether you want to walk, hop, skip, push or be pushed. You do as many laps as you can around the flat route at Cannon Hill Park and we will reward your success with a medal, a certificate and some refreshments at the finish line.

Your fundraising really does make a difference to the service we provide supporting adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, whom have complex needs. Every pound you raise will support our centre in Harborne and care for the community we empower and inspire to lead fulfilled lives.

Wheel'n'Walk 2023: More information about the event itself

Eight charities will be encouraging the local community to Birmingham's Cannon Hill Park with family and friends, that may be on bikes, in wheelchairs, on scooters, running and walking. Our event is being supported by qualified Wheelchair Dance Instructor Helen Mason from ‘FreeWheelin Dance’ who will be inspiring us to get ready at the start line a good accessible and inclusive warm up.
The theme this year is Hawaii beach. There will be a prize for the person with the best person in fancy dress!
The start point and meeting point is The Bandstand’ at 11.00am.
Parking will be available at the National Institute of Conductive Education (N.I.C.E), Cannon Hill House, 14 Russell Road, Birmingham B13 8RD. There are also other car parking points at Cannon Hill Park itself.
We will reward everyone that takes part with a medal, a certificate, and refreshments. Each person will attempt to achieve their own personal best – for some that could be one lap or other walkers - maybe ten or even more!
We use Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham as the location as there is a fully accessible route, wider pathways, accessible 'Changing Place' toilets at the Midlands Art Centre (MAC), plenty of parking and there are places to eat also. It’s the perfect central Birmingham location.
