Celebrating 75 years of service to our disabled community!
"Weoley Big Come Back", our inclusive and accessible social evening was a huge success and raises £608.60!
This year our "Weoley Big Night Out" annual fundraiser for Cerebral Palsy Midlands changed its name to the "Weoley Big Come Back" since the last event we were able to host was back into 2019 prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic. And, how great did it feel to be back and doing one big inclusive social night?!!
Our CPM fundraiser took place on Saturday 24th September at 'The Weoley Castle Social Club', local to our centre. The night provides a unique opportunity for all of our service users, staff, trustees, carers, friends and families to come together for a night of live entertainment and to help raise awareness about our charity. It was also our 75th anniversary celebrations which meant it was even more special.
"Blobbie Williams" was an incredible and fantastic Parody/Tribute to the ultimate entertainer "Robbie Williams", he had everyone up singing, dancing to all the well known hits; 'Angels', 'Let Me Entertain You,' 'Rock DJ' and 'Candy'. We had great catering and food from 'Hel's Party Services' and we had the glamorous 'Supreme Show Girls', photography and a huge raffle with the best prizes that we had ever had including a Smart TV, an air fryer, a vax hoover and so much more.
After the outgoing costs for the event itself, we are hugely grateful to have raised £608.60 and we thank everyone who attended the evening for their amazing support. We were all so pleased to have such an amazing come back!
Thank you's
